A New Financial Model Post COVID: Predictions from Two Institutions
With the spring semester underway, recently released data is beginning to bring greater definition to the impact of the pandemic on colleges and universities, and what institutions should anticipate for fiscal year 2022 and beyond.

The higher education budgeting model has been under stress and challenged for years. While COVID has exposed and exacerbated the problem, it is not new; expenses have outpaced revenue growth at many institutions for some time.

Join us for a webcast featuring Ryan Rapp, Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer for the University of Missouri System and William Guerrero, Vice President for Finance and Administration at Springfield College. This panel will explain how budgeting works in higher education and why institutions were so challenged over the last year. Ryan Rapp will share how the Missouri system leverages benchmarking to make smarter financial decisions now, and in the future, and William Guerrero will explain the importance of the auxiliary enterprise and non-tuition revenue.

If you are trying to address any of the following questions as part of your role, this session is for you:

· Why is the higher education business model so challenged?
· What solutions can be implemented to help institutions better understand their financial data?
· What are some short-term and long-term solutions for rationalizing our cost structure?
· How can benchmarked data assist in strategic decision support?
· What is the outlook for FY2022 and beyond?
