The Future of Higher Education Events: Creating Boundless Experiences
It’s no secret that higher education institutions have had to modify nearly every aspect of their operations since 2020. Events, such as conferences, commencement, reunions, recruitment fairs and orientation were no exception. Over the past 20 months, we witnessed necessity breed innovation as colleges and universities reimagined events.

What we learned may surprise you. While shifting traditionally in-person events to virtual and hybrid introduced new challenges in planning, execution and engagement, it also opened new doors across higher education. When event strategists took a Total Events Program Management approach, they were able to reimagine events that resulted in:

• Expanded reach and impact of programs tied to new revenue -- recruitment, alumni and donor engagement
• New approaches to learning continuity -- training, continuing education, extension programming
• Boundless connections and experiences across virtual, in-person, hybrid and on-demand
• Shared digital experiences regardless of in-person or virtual

With a new era of events on the horizon, universities are taking what they’ve learned to bring the best of both worlds together. Join us for a panel discussion as we share lessons learned from virtual and hybrid and the steps higher ed is taking to get back to in-person.

Panelists bring a cross-section of experience from department and college-level implementations to running a statewide extension program.
